About Dr. George Bailey

A PERSPECTIVE OF THE WIFE

George and Secelia BaileyMarch 4, 1945, George Brent Bailey, Jr. was born to the parents of George B. Bailey, Sr. and Lenora Elizabeth Johnson-Bailey. George was born into a Christian family. His father was an ordained Christian minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. George was the only son with three sibling sisters. George was born in a rural community called Saint Paul located ten miles southwest of Oakwood, Texas, a small town in East Texas. At age 12 the family was relocated to Kilgore, Texas where his father was appointed by the Bishop to Saint James African Methodist Church to be its senor pastor.

During his early years, George was devoted to his horse and dog. He spent a great deal of time with his animals, farm chores, and fishing. He was a great lover of the country and appreciated the opportunities to enjoy nature in its natural settings. From early age, George enjoyed reading and eventually fell in love with social studies and political science. During his developmental years, he excelled in sports, music-voice, debating, and academics. He became the captain of the basketball, baseball, track and field events. He was president of his junior and senior class, and president of the school choir. He has from the very beginning focused on being a leader on a winning team.

After graduation from high school, George attended Howard County Junior College, Big Springs, Texas, and later transferred to Paul Quinn College, Waco, Texas. In May 1968 George graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Social Studies and English.

His earlier ambitions were to be a Rhythm and Blues singer, earn a Law Degree, and become a wealthy movie actor, and to a large degree he was accomplishing those noble goals. Shortly after he passed the entrance to Law School at Baylor University, God called him to the Christian ministry and those other ambitions have yet to be fulfilled.

Forty-two years later, the only thing that is important to George, as it relates to vocation, is being faithful to God as His servant, teacher, preacher, prophet, priest, counselor, ambassador, and fearless soldier. George started preaching at age 18 and was ordained in the African Methodist Episcopal Church two years later. He completed the Deacon and Elder levels five years later. George has an unfailing faith in God, and daily seeks to do His Will for His Pleasure to the highest standards of excellence, all the time, and with a glad heart.

George’s ministry has been ministering to the needs of people spiritually, socially, financially, academically, psychologically; defending the rights of the weak, ignorant, elderly, fostered children, incarcerated, family, and the disadvantaged in the Judea-Christian Community, academic, medical, social-economic, and the political environment.

George met Secelia Miller-Etheredge in Albuquerque, New Mexico and they were married March 7, 1999. Secelia has two sons, Eugene, Jr. and Carlos, and George has two daughters, Risha and Yosha from previous marriages. Since this marriage, we have been enjoying nothing but happiness, hard work, and support for each other in our chosen vocations; Secelia, a teacher in the Moriarty Independent School District, Moriarty, New Mexico; George in the roles as pastor, domestic violence counselor, teenage Court Judge, politics in the Judea-Christian community and secular community, and growing together in a loving relationship under the power of the Holy Spirit. We have lived in Edgewood, New Mexico for the past 9 years, and are presently preparing to sell our property and relocate to the South where George will establish his headquarters to run for the Office of President of the United States of America, 2008.

It is very important for all Americans to know that my husband is not running for this position because he is on an ego trip, but rather, he is obeying what God has told him to do. This mission is explained in detail in the book he has written entitled: “AMERICAN COULD BE BEAUTIFUL”. The 24 chapters reveal real solutions to simple and complex problems facing our nation and the world today. My husband tells what no other candidates are willing to tell . . . the Truth! He is not running for two offices like many of the other candidates, and that is precisely why he is willing to present the real facts on all the relevant issues. This cannot regain its heritage old and new lies; only the truth shall enable America to return to being a nation embracing its character reflected in the Preamble, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights; that is who we are as a sovereign nation.

My husband, Dr. Bailey, is acutely aware that telling the “TRUTH” reflects one’s character and integrity; further if that litmus test fail, you had better be very careful of that individual verbal expression, for it contradicts their conduct, which equates to them being liars. Then, tell me America why would you elevate a liar to the highest office in our nation, and at the same time, expect them not to disappoint you?

My fellow Americans, before you make a final decision at the ballot box November 2008, please go to my husband’s web-site and order a copy of his book. Read it with an open mind, free from being a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or Green Party. I am convinced, you will give my husband your vote to become the next President of the United States of America; he will make you proud because he has been blessed with the skills to do what is right for all Americans and our allies.
